As a specialist consultancy BCF works in specific ways as detailed below. Our key aim is to provide high quality, in depth and flexible support for small to medium charities and social enterprises at a reasonable cost.
Our working methods support upskilling and training current staff members, strengthening systems and working within the context of your organisation.
What we bring is significant experience and a wealth of knowledge regarding the working of small charities and the regulatory and operational environment within which they exist.
All work is priced on a daily basis, at a starting day rate of £550.
This rate is based on the majority of clients being in the £750k - £1.5m turnover range. For smaller charities and longer/interim-style contracts a discounted rate may be possible.
We are also available for speaking engagements and for bespoke training - please contact for specific rates.
Consulting
Shorter work, with a fixed output, usually a written or verbal report. For organisations with an understanding of what their issues are and who need targeted advice to make the required actions clear and achievable.
Transformation
Longer term projects that take organisations through difficult periods of change, including growing pains and restructuring. We specialise in moving organisations from an outsourced or non-specialised finance function to a dedicated in-house team. This includes setting up systems, planning job roles and recruitment of staff.
We work with organisations that know that they need something to change, but don't yet know what it is that they need to have in place. We have extensive expeirence in setting up systems, training staff and managing change in a productive way. Our approach to organisational change can be summed up as follows – maximum benefit for minimum disruption.
Emergancy Accounting
Not always available due to the short lead times, but if you have an emergency because current provision has fallen though - either due to illness or other unforseen circumstances - and do not need a permanent solution, we can offer interim services from a position of experience and understanding.
